The University of Stirling seeks to fill two posts within the following
three areas:

- Lecturer in Conservation Biology
- Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Environmental Geography and/or
Ecosystem Services
- Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Environmental/Ecological Modelling.

The successful candidates will be expected to undertake research,
teaching, administration, and other activities in biological and
environmental sciences, integrating with activities across the School of
Natural Sciences (SNS) to support and develop the school's academic
profile. The positions will be expected to make a full contribution to
SNS's internationally excellent research activities and contribute
research-led teaching at postgraduate and undergraduate levels.

Applicants must possess a relevant PhD, and be engaged in a program of
research producing published outputs that would be judged as meeting the
UK Research Excellence Framework criteria of international excellence.
Candidates must also demonstrate their ability to secure external
research income, and to attract and supervise doctoral research
students.

The Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy (ACCAP) seeks a
qualified research professional for their multidisciplinary
organization. The position will be based in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Research will include climate change information needs assessment and
analysis specific to Alaska, including comparison of research needs
identified by state and federal agencies and Tribal governments. Needs
assessment will span a range of sectors including ecology, public
infrastructure, cryoshere hazards, forestry, and hydrology.

Successful applicants will have strong written and oral communication
skills as well as interest in climate change impacts and adaptation in
Alaska and experience in interdisciplinary research and peer review
publication. This is a term-funded position subject to availability of
funds.
