The North Pacific Research Board (NPRB) announces the release of a
special request for proposals (RFP) for data management for the Gulf of
Alaska Integrated Ecosystem Research Program. The full RFP is available
by clicking on the 'full special RFP announcement' link at:
http://gulfofalaska.nprb.org.

Proposals to this special RFP are requested to provide data management
and communication services from 1 October 2011 to April 2015. Funding of
$400,000 is available.

Proposals must be submitted online in accordance with instructions in
the RFP. The deadline for proposal submission is 4:00 p.m. AKDT Monday,
22 August 2011.

In September 2010, the NPRB launched a $9.5 million program to study
ecosystem processes that influence survival of young-of-the-year fish in
the Gulf of Alaska based on the Gulf of Alaska Project Implementation
Plan. The Data Management lead will work closely with the NPRB Gulf of
Alaska Program Manager to achieve the funded data management objectives
and will serve on the Gulf of Alaska Board of Investigators (GABI),
which provides overall leadership, coordination, and collaboration
within and outside the program. The Data Management Team and System will
be an integral component of the overall Gulf of Alaska Project.

Submission deadline: 4:00 p.m. AKDT Monday, 22 August 2011.
