The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) seeks applicants to two
faculty positions.

One is for a tenure-track Assistant Professor studying any area of
population, demography, or human systems. Applicants must have
demonstrated research expertise in one or more of the following areas:
immigration, mobility, race, labor, inequality, and spatial demography.
Applicants with a strong background in quantitative methods, including
spatial statistics and GIS, are especially encouraged to apply. Reviews
of submitted applications to this position will commence Saturday, 1
January 2011 and continue until the position is filled. Please note that

The other position is a prestigious Full Professor Endowed Chair
position for any area of the geographic discipline (social and/or
natural sciences). The UCLA Department of Geography seeks an outstanding
