The U.S. Arctic Research Commission (USARC, http://www.arctic.gov)
creates and distributes a daily 'Arctic Update' that is now being made
available to all. The update provides a Washington, D.C. perspective on
issues impacting arctic research, and contains news and information in
the following four categories:
- Today's Events
- Media Review
- Legislative Action
- Future Events
To view an example of an 'Arctic Update' from the archive, and/or to
join the daily distribution list, follow the links on the lower
left-hand side of USARC's homepage (http://www.arctic.gov). The update
is distributed through a commercial service that enables users to safely
self-subscribe (and unsubscribe) at will.
