Researchers planning to include the use of UNAVCO resources for geodetic
GPS, LiDAR, and power systems as part of proposals submitted to the 25
May 2010 National Science Foundation (NSF) Antarctic Research Proposal
(Solicitation 10-543) are reminded that they must include a UNAVCO
letter of support with their proposal.

The completion of the UNAVCO support request form
(http://facility.unavco.org) is required no later than Tuesday, 11 May
2010 and will form the basis for the required letter of support. This
requirement is in addition to completing the appropriate form in the
POLAR ICE Operational Requirements Worksheet (ORW).

Available services include:

- A range of GPS equipment including permanent, continuous,
campaign, and kinematic GPS systems;
- Remote instrumentation power systems hardware; and
- Ground-based LiDAR (Terrestrial Laser Scanning) instruments.

UNAVCO and Raytheon Polar Services Company are streamlining the
mechanics of requesting UNAVCO support and moving the request details
from POLAR ICE to the standard UNAVCO project support request form. This
is expected to allow for better planning and tracking of project
requirements. Your patience is appreciated as during this transition you
may be asked to provide duplicate information.

Submission deadline: Tuesday, 11 May 2010.
