The Wilderness Society, a national non-profit organization, seeks an
experienced individual for the position of Alaska Regional Director. The
position will be based in Anchorage, Alaska.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and
inspiring the regional team in the development and implementation of
campaigns to achieve statutory and administrative protections for wild
lands in Alaska.
The ideal candidate has extensive environmental or political campaign
experience, proven leadership and managerial skills, strong knowledge of
land conservation and political issues in the region, the ability to
work with diverse constituencies, and substantial fundraising
experience. A Bachelor's degree or its demonstrated equivalent is
required. Relevant graduate work will be highly regarded.
