The Program for Arctic Regional Climate Assessment (PARCA) will hold its
2009 meeting in Seattle, Washington, on Wednesday, 30 September and
Thursday, 1 October. The meeting will be convened the day after the West
Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS)/Forum for Research in Ice Shelf Processes
(FRISP) workshop ends.

The focus of this year's PARCA meeting is Greenland. The tentative
agenda includes topics such as field plans for 2010 and beyond, ice
bridge (e.g., bed mapping needs), ice sheet mass balance, and a new
digital elevation model (DEM).

The PARCA meeting will likely be held in Henderson Hall, at the
University of Washington. Depending on attendance, the venue may be
changed. Any changes or updates will be posted at:
http://bigice.apl.washington.edu/news_meetings.html.
