The Danish Ministry of Education invites you to the International
Teachers' Conference on Teaching Current Climate Change in Secondary
Education: Inspiring Climate Education (ICE09). The conference will be
held 12-14 October 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark. To receive an early
registration discount, please register by Wednesday, 15 July 2009.
The conference will involve a combination of presentations from keynote
speakers followed by participatory workshops. During the workshops,
participants will reflect on their own practice, exchange ideas on
questions/challenges/issues relevant to teaching climate change.
The conference aims:
- To promote interdisciplinary teaching;
- To encourage cooperation between educational institutions and private
enterprises; and
- To advocate for the incorporation of climate change into existing
curriculum.
The conference is open to lower and upper secondary school teachers,
education researchers, civil servants and government officials, and
lecturers from teacher training colleges and universities with
experience or interest in teaching climate change.
