Organizers of session GM5.1, "Periglacial Processes, Landforms and
Environments," invite submissions for oral and poster presentations. The
session is being held at the European Geophysical Union (EGU) meeting,
19-24 April 2009, in Vienna, Austria. The deadline for abstract
submissions is Tuesday, 13 January 2009.

Session Description:
Periglacial processes are fundamentally important to understanding of
the geomorphology of contemporary polar and alpine regions, and of the
stratigraphy and palaeoenvironments of past cold environments. This
session seeks to integrate recent advances in field monitoring,
laboratory modeling, theoretical developments and palaeoenvironmental
studies of periglacial processes, landforms, sediments and environments.
Contributions are welcome from geomorphologists, geologists and climate
scientists or others with interests in all types of periglacial
phenomena. The session is co-sponsored by the Working Group on
Periglacial Landforms, Processes and Climate of the International
Permafrost Association.

The abstract submission deadline for this and all other sessions is
Tuesday, 13 January 2009. For details on abstract submission, please go
to:
