The International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) will provide travel
grants for early career scientists (no more than 5 years after
completion of the PhD) presenting papers at the Arctic Science Summit
Week (ASSW) 2009 and International Science Symposium, being held in
23-28 March 2009, in Bergen, Norway. The maximum travel support will be
2000 Euros per person. Some of the travel grants are specially allocated
to Russian early career scientists.
Applications should include the abstract submitted to the conference, a
short but informative CV, and an estimate of travel costs. The deadline
for application is Monday, 15 December 2008. Please note that
applications will only be considered if the abstract has also been
submitted through the conference website (http://www.imr.no/assw2009 ).
