The Arctic-Yukon-Kuskokwim Sustainable Salmon Initiative (AYK SSI)
invites the submission of project proposals for its 2009 funding
cycle.
The AYK SSI is an innovative partnership among six state, federal and
native organizations dedicated to collaboratively addressing the
salmon research and restoration needs of the region.
Full proposals will be subjected to an external, independent peer
review and review by the AYK SSI Scientific Technical Committee. The
AYK SSI Steering Committee will make final funding decisions
concerning full proposals at its January 2009 meeting.
2009 Funding Level: $400,000.00
Duration of Projects: Up to a maximum of 23 months.
Full Proposal Deadline: Thursday, 20 November 2008
Selection of full proposals for funding: No later than 30 January 2009
Project Start Date: No sooner than 1 May 2009
Project End Date: No later than 31 March 2011
