The "Adventure Learning at AGU '08: Are You an Explorer? Using AL as a
Powerful Tool for Your Scientific Mission" website is now available at:
http://adventurelearningagu.ning.com/. The website seeks to build an
online community of researchers, teachers, and students in preparation
for the upcoming American Geophysical Union (AGU) fall meeting, to be
held 15-19 December 2008, in San Francisco, California. Adventure
Learning (AL) organizers hope to spark the curiosity of the larger
science community in an effort to change the way scientists collaborate
with learners in scientific explorations.

From Australia to Africa and across the US continent, AL is changing the
way students are learning in the classroom. AL is a hybrid distance
education approach that provides students with opportunities to explore
real-world issues through authentic learning experiences within
collaborative learning environments.

AL organizers will hold a special session at the AGU fall meeting, and
are now soliciting abstracts. More information about this session and
guidelines for submitting an abstract can be found on the Adventure
Learning website: http://adventurelearningagu.ning.com/
