The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell University
seeks a postdoctoral research associate to conduct research using
microwave and optical remote sensing to study the dynamics of temperate
glaciers and post-glacial rebound.

One currently funded project involves collaboration with Joan Ramage at
nearby Lehigh University and could include some fieldwork. Depending on
funding and the postdoc's interests. Other projects may be pursued
secondarily.

A completed PhD in glaciology, geophysics, remote sensing, or a related
field is required. Review of applications begins on 15 September 2008.
The hiring committee anticipates an immediate start date. The position
is for one year and is renewable, contingent on funding and performance.
