Sponsored by ARCUS, with support from the National Science Foundation,
the Arctic Forum is an annual meeting, hosted by ARCUS since 1994, that
serves as an outreach activity, gathering members of the arctic research
community, key agency personnel, policy makers, educators, and students
in one of few interdisciplinary meetings focused on the Arctic. The
Forum includes paper and poster sessions on a diverse array of topics in
arctic science, and offers scientists, students, and the public an
opportunity to discuss key science issues in a collaborative
environment.

Abstracts from the 2008 Arctic Forum will be available in winter of
2008. The 2008 Arctic Forum, "Tipping Points - The Arctic and Global
Change," was held 13-15 May, at the National Association of Home
Builders, in Washington, DC. Raw video footage, presentation
PowerPoints, and abstracts are all available online, at:
http://www.arcus.org/annual_meetings/2008/index.html

We hope you enjoy this edition of Arctic Forum Abstracts, and look
forward to seeing you at next year's Forum.

Sincerely,
Wendy K. Warnick
