The Arctic Institute of North America has released its 2007 Annual
Report online. The report includes information on International Polar
Year (IPY) projects, updates to the Photographic North archives,
information on the Northern Scientific Training Program, and much more.

The Arctic Institute is a non-profit membership organization and
multidisciplinary research institute of the University of Calgary. Its
mandate is to advance the study of the North American and circumpolar
Arctic through the natural and social sciences, as well as the arts and
humanities, and to acquire, preserve, and disseminate information on
physical, environmental, and social conditions in the North.

The Institute is home to the interdisciplinary journal Arctic and the
Arctic Science and Technology Information System database (ASTIS).
