The Churchill Northern Studies Center (CNSC), in Churchill, Manitoba,
announces a Program Assistant position. The Program Assistant will work
closely with the Program Coordinator to deliver a variety of educational
programs to adult learners, seniors and school-aged children.

This is an outdoor education and natural history oriented position. The
ideal candidate will have one or two years of post-secondary education
towards a degree or diploma in outdoor education, recreation, tourism,
geography or similar field. A positive, hands-on attitude, excellent
communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in large or
small groups are essential. Experience with common computer software
programs and basic first-aid is also required. The successful candidate
must also submit a criminal background check. This full-time summer
contract position will commence as soon as possible and end 29 August
2008, with a possible extension to 21 November 2008.

CNSC is an independent, non-profit research and education facility
located near the town of Churchill, Manitoba, along the shore of
historic Hudson Bay. The CNSC facilitates scientific research and
educational programming on the physical, biological and social sciences
by providing accommodations and logistic support to a growing
international body of researchers and educators.
