The Western Alaska Interdisciplinary Science Association (WAISA)
announces "Weathering Change Monitoring Uncertainty," the 2008 Western
Alaskan Interdisciplinary Science Conference and Forum, to be held 4-7
April 2008, in Dillingham, Alaska. The conference will highlight
regional scientific efforts that provide a more interdisciplinary
approach to scientific inquiry and resource management. Organizers
welcome papers from all individuals and organizations collecting data in
western Alaska.

Sessions topics include:

- Mining in Western Alaska
- Energy
- Subsistence and Traditional Ecological Knowledge
- Ecosystem Health
- Ecology
- Math and Science Education
- Renewable Resources
- Recreation in Southwest Alaska

- Nushagak/Mulchatna Watershed

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are invited and should be
submitted before Wednesday, 30 January 2008, to Becky Petersen at:
