The Institute for Marine and Atmospheric research Utrecht (IMAU) at
Utrecht University in The Netherlands announces three PhD student
positions in the field of ice and climate research. The three vacancies
are for the following projects:
- Regional atmospheric modeling of the climate and mass balance of
Antarctica
- Contribution of glaciers to sea level rise
- Relation between CO2, temperature, sea level, and ice volume over the
last 3 million years

IMAU is an interfaculty research institute that focuses on the
fundamental aspects of climate dynamics. Research is organized in five
main themes: ice and climate, ocean circulation and climate, atmospheric
physics and chemistry, atmospheric dynamics and boundary layer
meteorology, and physical geography and oceanography of the coastal
