Papers are invited for Session A18: "Atmospheric Chemistry of Ice and
Snow" being convened at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall
Meeting on 10-14 December 2007 in San Francisco, California.

Session Description:
Ice is a common, yet complex substrate for environmental chemistry. A
quantitative physical understanding of the interactions of snow and ice
with trace gases is critical for accurate modeling of atmospheric
chemistry, as well as for the interpretation of records of climate and
biogeochemistry obtained via ice core analysis.

This session seeks contributions from laboratory, field, and atmospheric
modeling studies or molecular-level modeling studies that focus on the
environmental chemistry of ice and snow. Particular emphasis will be
placed on examining the impact of this chemistry on chemical composition
of past and present atmospheres. Examples include air-snow interactions,
atmospheric chemistry of sea ice and frost flowers, and interactions of
trace gases with atmospheric ice particles.
