The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold
Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) invites applications
for the position of Technical Director, Terrestrial and Geospatial
Sciences.

The Technical Director carries out requirement analysis, market
assessment, and program development aligned with the ERDC business areas
Geospatial Research and Engineering and Military Engineering. Duties of
the position include:
- working with customers and stakeholders to develop, refine, and
evaluate technology requirements;
- sustaining situational awareness of the Research and Development
marketplace across ERDC, Department of Defense, government, industry,
and academia and identifying viable opportunities;
- conceptualizing and developing research initiatives, leading expansion
of the program into new market areas of significant impact, and
optimizing ERDC core competencies;
- seeking means to diversify partnership opportunities through detailed
knowledge of CRREL programs, collaboration with ERDC Technical
Directors, and relationships with existing and potential customers;
- monitoring and reporting on programmatic execution; and
- developing partnerships with customers to ensure tailored technology
transition.

This permanent, federal government position offers the full range of
retirement, health, and life insurance benefits. Salary range is
$104,826-$136,273 USD depending on qualifications and experience.
