The International Permafrost Association (IPA) announces International
University Courses on Permafrost (IUCP), an online database of
university courses on permafrost and periglacial geomorphology that are
being offered worldwide during the International Polar Year from 2007 to
2009.
IUCP contains 136 related courses, from undergraduate to doctorate
level, in science and engineering disciplines from universities in 17
countries. Some courses are exclusively field-based and take place in
various polar and alpine regions, while others are theoretical and
classroom-based or include only limited time in the field. Instructors
are welcome to contact IPA with new courses on permafrost and
periglacial geomorphology for inclusion in the database.
