The international workshop "Subglacial Antarctic Lake Environments
(SALE) in the International Polar Year 2007-2008: Advanced Science and
Technology Planning" was held in Grenoble, France on 24-26 April 2006.
Reports, summaries, and other workshop materials are now available
online.
The workshop website includes downloadable copies of the 2006 Workshop
Summary, Full Report, and Appendices, which contain the workshop agenda,
session summaries, poster abstracts, and lists of speakers and
attendees, as well as all background preparatory materials for the
workshop. The archive represents the most up-to-date compilation of
research related to SALE.
The workshop was co-hosted by Laboratoire de Glaciologie et Geophysique
de l'Environment (LGGE) and Texas A&M University. The National Science
Foundation Office of Polar Programs (OPP), Scientific Committee on
Antarctic Research (SCAR), and Centre National de la Recherche
Scientifique (CNRS) provided financial support for the workshop.
