The Oil Spill Recovery Institute (OSRI) in Cordova, Alaska invites
nominations for qualified individuals to serve on its Advisory Board as
at-large representatives. Board members must come from communities
affected by the Exxon Valdez oil spill and must be knowledgeable about
the marine environment and wildlife of Prince William Sound. At-large
representatives serve two-year terms of office.

The Advisory Board meets twice each year, once in Cordova in September
and once in Anchorage or another Alaska community in February or March.

To submit a nomination, send a letter of interest and resume detailing
the qualifications of the nominee to Nancy Bird, OSRI Executive

Nominations must be received by Wednesday, 14 February 2007, and
self-nominations are accepted.

The mission of OSRI is to identify and develop the best available
techniques, equipment, and materials for dealing with oil spills in the
arctic and sub-arctic marine environments, and to conduct cooperative
research on the long-term effects of oil spills on the environment,
economy, and people.
