The Engineer Research and Development Center, Cold Regions Research and
Engineering Laboratory (ERDC-CRREL) is seeking applications for the
position of Technical Director for Earth Science and Engineering.
ERDC-CRREL is an Army research laboratory located in Hanover, New
Hampshire.

The position serves as program leader and advisor primarily in technical
areas aligned with ERDC business areas Environmental Quality, and
Installations and Civil Works. The Technical Director serves as one of
two senior advisors to the CRREL Director and on a team supporting the
Deputy Director of the ERDC.

The Technical Director has responsibilities on Earth Sciences and
Engineering programs that involve a large customer base including
Department of Defense (DOD), non-DOD federal agencies, and others. The
Technical Director serves as an expert on research and engineering
issues affecting CRREL's research program areas as well as those within
ERDC Business Areas and Technical Area Thrusts. The Technical Director
provides advice and counsel in a range of technical areas such as
Geospatial Sciences, Remote Sensing, Water Resources, Water Management
and Resource Decision Support, as well as other areas in the mission of
CRREL. The successful candidate will work with other ERDC Laboratory
technical directors to develop multi-lab proposals that enhance overall
ERDC capabilities, and will conceptualize, develop, and coordinate
strategic research initiatives based on customer requirements from DOD,
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, other governmental stakeholders, industry,
and academia.

This is a permanent, federal government position located in Hanover, New
Hampshire, offering the full range of retirement, health and life
insurance benefits. Salary range is $104,826-$136,273, depending on
