A NSF-Biocomplexity funded two-year research assistantship is available
for a high energy and motivated student to participate in Idaho State
University's Sanak Island Biocomplexity Project off the south coast of
the Alaska Peninsula. The student should have an undergraduate degree in
anthropology/archaeology. The Research Assistant should be interested in
faunal analysis/zooarchaeology and will work directly with Dr. Matt
Betts and Professor Herb Maschner. The student must be able to enter the
Anthropology Master's program at Idaho State University in the fall term
of 2007 and will have the opportunity to participate in the summer 2007
field season. The research assistantship covers all tuition, insurance,
and provides an $11,000 per year salary.
