The European Association of Remote Sensing Laboratories (EARSeL) is
hosting the Third Workshop On Remote Sensing of the Coastal Zone: From
Inland to Marine Waters, in Bolzano, Italy, on 7-9 June 2007. The
workshop is part of the 27th EARSeL Symposium: Geoinformation In Europe.
The workshop focuses on the interaction between coastal zones and inland
waters, such as rivers, lakes, and ground water, processes induced by
freshwater in the marine environment, and the dynamics and budgets of
substance transport between land and seas. Topics for discussion include
physical dynamics of currents, tides, waves and sediment transport,
habitat mapping and modeling, flux and transformation of seawater
constituents including pollutants, interaction of physical, biological
and chemical conditions and processes, GIS and coastal zone management,
and remote sensing methods and modeling.
Scientists interested in presenting papers at the workshop are invited
to submit an abstract via the workshop website before 5 February 2007.
Notification of acceptance will be given by 5 March 2007.
