If you are proposing fieldwork under the NSF Arctic Research
Opportunities solicitation (due date, 8 December 2006), VECO Polar
Resources (VPR) would like to encourage you to closely review the
section entitled "Proposals Involving Arctic Field Work" within the text
of the solicitation, available at:
http://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=5521

Furthermore, if you plan to request a VPR support estimate and letter to
include in your proposal please contact VPR at your earliest convenience
with your field plan. Depending on the complexity of your proposed
fieldwork and the volume of requests VPR receives, it may take 3-4 weeks
to develop an estimate. Send your field plan and support requirements to
Diana Garcia-Lavigne, VPR's Planning Manager (diana [at] polarfield.com).

VPR is NSF's arctic logistics contractor, providing transportation,
field camp, communications, and infrastructure support to well over 100
