For 2008, Alaska Sea Grant will once again produce the Alaska Coastal
Calendar. The theme of the 2008 wall calendar is the International Polar
Year (IPY).
This is a call to all researchers, public affairs people, photographers,
science writers, and others to submit photos, art, satellite images, and
ideas for consideration by the calendar's editorial staff. Full color
photos, black and white images, satellite images, stunning graphics,
useful facts, concepts, and ideas that depict our rapidly changing
arctic and subarctic climate and impacts on the land, sea, and peoples
will be considered. Alaska Sea Grant has a small budget to pay for
exceptional images. All submissions will be considered.
Alaska Sea Grant is a marine research, education, and advisory program
funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and based
at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
