The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) of Columbia University seeks
applicants for a junior research position in cryospheric sciences. The
ideal applicant should have a strong background in observational,
experimental, and/or modeling studies of snow, glacial and/or sea ice,
particularly related to the understanding of the response of cryospheric
systems to changing climate conditions. Consideration will be given to
applicants whose research interests complement LDEO's existing strengths in
cryospheric research, which include polar ocean and climate physics,
ecosystems, paleoclimate studies, remote sensing, and airborne geophysics.
A Ph.D. is required.
