A "Practical Dictionary of Siberia and the North" includes entries on
history, nature, geography, people, economies of the arctic regions, and
ethnographic data of indigenous groups throughout the North. The
dictionary also features 500 black and white illustrations and three
full-color inserts with maps, images of flora and fauna, and
illustrations of clothing of northern peoples.
The publication is available in English and Russian. The attached CD-ROM
contains an additional 2,000 illustrations, photos, and maps, as well as
sound tracks with samples of northern ethnic music.
