The Third International Workshop on Arctic Parasitology (IWAP III) will
be held on 6-10 November 2006 in Calgary, Alberta.
IWAP III will provide a forum for the discussion of a range of key
topics of circumpolar interest and an opportunity for collaboration on
projects for the International Polar Year in 2007-2008. While the focus
of the workshop is parasitism in people and animals, papers on other
types of infectious agents of importance in the Arctic/Subarctic will be
welcome. The deadline for submission of abstracts for contributed
papers/posters and early registration is Thursday, 1 September.
Each scientific session will be introduced with one to three invited
speakers. This will be followed by contributed papers and then a general
discussion. Abstracts for papers and posters, and any questions, should
be sent to vetconf [at] ucalgary.ca. Abstracts (single spaced, 12 point font)
should not exceed one page, and the name of the presenting author should
be underlined.
