The Beringia Days Conference will be held in Anchorage, Alaska, on 7-8
September 2006 at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art. This annual
conference alternates between Anchorage and Anadyr, Chukotka.

The conference celebrates the natural and cultural heritage shared by
Russia and the United States across the Bering Strait. It is an open
forum for National Park Service funded projects and other events being
conducted in the central Beringia region. Just as importantly, the
two-day event promotes open communication and cooperation between
Chukotka and Alaska and affords an opportunity for researchers and
community leaders to meet and learn about new activities taking place.
The event is open to the public with no charge or registration.
