Associate Professorship in Earth Observation

An associate professorship in Earth observation (energy and environment)
is vacant in the Department of Physics at the University of Tromso.
The appointed person will be responsible for developing plans for the
Master's programme in "Energy and Environment in the North" and will
teach and supervise physics, particularly Earth observation. The
applicant should be able to document research expertise in signal
analysis, and particularly in earth observation involving development of
new methods or interpretation of Earth observation data. Relevant topics
include climate change, detection/monitoring of sea ice and glaciers,
resource monitoring, pollution, and shipping traffic in arctic regions.
A permanent appointment as an associate professor requires a Norwegian
doctorate or equivalent qualifications.
