Applications are invited for a half time staff scientist at the
University of Innsbruck's Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics. The
term will run from October 2005 through September 2011.

Applicants should have a doctorate in meteorology, geophysics, physics,
or similar final degree as well as profound knowledge in the area of
glaciology and geophysics; practical experience in field work as well as
in methods of measurement and data analysis; be able to work well in a
team, especially when working in the outdoor environment; and the
ability to creatively solve problems. The successful candidate will be
responsible for leading the meteorological observatory, glaciological
work, teaching responsibilities, advising students, and organizational
and administrative tasks.
