This site is a work site for follow-up activities related to the
research seminar and workshop "Nordic Research Cooperation Within the
Social Sciences and Humanities Connected to the International Polar
Year, IPY 2007-2008" Held in Ilulissat, Greenland, 28 April thru 2 May
2005
As a part of the preparation for the International Polar Year, IPY
2007-2008, the Greenland National Polar Year Committee organized a
research seminar and workshop to utilize and further develop the
existing Nordic research cooperation and to contribute to the
coordination of a common Nordic research effort focusing on Man, Nature
and Arctic Societies (one of the main themes decided by the Danish and
Greenland national IPY committees) in connection with the IPY 2007-2008.
This site hopes to facilitate a continuation of this process initiate
with the research seminar and workshop.
