The Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS) is seeking an
energetic, creative, and skilled person to contribute to our expanding
scientific, education, and outreach programs supporting arctic research.
Working with a terrific twenty-person team, this position provides
professional project management to the programs of ARCUS and reports to
the Executive Director.

ARCUS is a nonprofit consortium of 48 universities and research
institutions concerned with arctic research and education. The ARCUS
office and this position are located in Fairbanks, Alaska.

We are seeking a new team member skilled in scientific program
organization to coordinate community planning processes for various
arctic research efforts, with an initial focus on coordination of two
specific programs for which ARCUS provides science management: the Study
of Environmental Arctic Change (SEARCH)--an interagency effort to
understand the causes and consequences of environmental change presently
seen in the Arctic, and the Arctic System Science (ARCSS) Program--a
National Science Foundation program aimed at achieving a system-level
understanding of the Arctic.

The successful candidate will work with the ARCUS Executive Director,
Program Coordinator, and other ARCUS staff; science advisory committees
and committee chairs; and the broader science community to coordinate
science planning at several levels.

The salary will depend upon the candidate's range of experience and
expertise and is contingent on funding. This position is open until
filled.
