The National Science Foundation Arctic Social Sciences Program's,
Program Director Anna M. Kerttula announces that the Arctic Social
Sciences Program will be participating in the new European Science
Foundation EUROCORES program "BOREAS - Histories from the North:
environments, movements, narratives." All U.S.-based researchers
interested in international partnerships for interdisciplinary and
circumpolar social science focused research are encouraged to apply for
research funding through the ESF process outlined on the BOREAS website:
http://www.esf.org/boreas

"BOREAS - Histories from the North: environments, movements, narratives"
is a research funding initiative coordinated by the European Science
Foundation, targeting humanities and social science scholars
specializing in arctic and sub-arctic research in Europe, Canada, the
USA, and Russia.

Please note that BOREAS will only fund international Collaborative
Research Projects (CRP), with participants based typically in at least
three countries, and that all assessments and evaluations of proposals
will always consider the full CRP.
