Harley Hightower, chief designer and architect for the Barrow Global
Climate Change Research Facility (BGCCRF), will be having an "open
house" with the design plans and other information available for review
and comments at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (Elvey Building,
Globe Room) on Tuesday, 3 May 2005. If you are interested in research
based out of Barrow at some point in the next three decades and would
like to provide input on the specific design of the facility you may be
working out of, here is another chance to interact directly with the
architect and to follow up on earlier meetings that have been held at
various locations. The architect is specifically looking for input and
review/revision of the first set of plans. Feel free to come by any time
between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to talk with the architect (except for a lunch
break from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.). Sets of plans and other relevant
documents will be available for review the entire day as well.

For an advance copy of the plans and other relevant documents or if you
wish to schedule a separate meeting during the day for a specific user
or focus group, please contact:
