The Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at the University
of Toronto at Scarborough seeks candidates for two tenure-stream
positions at the Assistant Professor level in Environmental Science to
begin 1 July 2005. Applications will be accepted in all areas of
Environmental Science but preference will be given to candidates with
research interests in Physical Limnology and in Environmental Modeling,
broadly defined. The successful candidates will bring expertise which
augments the thrusts of the department in environmental and/or planetary
sciences. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in a relevant area, a strong
academic background, an excellent research record, and potential for
excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to
teach and develop courses in Environmental Science, as well as in areas
of special interest to her/him. (S)he will be located in the Department
of Physical and Environmental Sciences at the University of Toronto at
Scarborough and will also be a member of one or more suitable graduate
departments of the university. Teaching at both the undergraduate and
graduate levels is required.

The Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences fosters close
collaboration among the groups in chemistry, environmental and earth
