The Geography Department at the University of Delaware invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning
Fall, 2005. The preferred specialization will be an area of Physical
Geography that complements the department's current strengths in
climatology, land-surface processes, and especially cold-region studies.
The candidate must also be able to contribute to teaching in established
and growing course offerings in Geographic Information Science and
related technical areas. The department is looking for promise of an
outstanding scholarly career with potential for publication, extramural
funding, and high-quality contributions to three undergraduate and three
graduate degree programs. A Ph.D. in Geography or a closely related
discipline is required at the time of appointment.
