The Department of Geosciences at Oregon State University invites
applications for two postdoctoral positions investigating past methane
and carbon dioxide variations in trapped gases in ice cores. The
positions are supported by grants from the U.S. National Science
Foundation and the Gary Comer Foundation.

The successful applicants will develop new techniques for high precision
measurements and apply those techniques to a variety of problems in late
Quaternary climate change, with emphasis on abrupt climate change.

however, the exact start date is flexible. Positions are 12-month
fixed-term appointments, with reappointments at the discretion of the
