NSF Welcomes New Arctic Natural Sciences Program Director

Dear Colleague:

The Office of Polar Programs at the National Science Foundation is
pleased to announce that Dr. William Wiseman has been selected as
Program Director for the Arctic Natural Sciences Program. Dr. Wiseman is
currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Oceanography and
Coastal Sciences at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Dr.
Wiseman will join the Arctic Sciences Section of OPP on August 11th. He
will work jointly with Dr. Jane Dionne to manage and direct the Arctic
Natural Sciences Program. The Section looks forward to working with Dr.
Wiseman and to his interactions with the arctic research community.
