The Northern Water Futures project at Wilfrid Laurier University is accepting applications for a PhD researcher in Ecohydrology. This full-time position will be located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
The successful candidate will quantify the impact of permafrost decay on subarctic Canadian Shield vegetation distribution and ecohydrology using a combination of spatial analysis, field, and modelling methodologies. This position will be expected to collaborate with others in regional assessments of climate and landscape change across the Northwest Territories, Canada and the circumpolar north.
Applicants should have strong geographical information system (GIS) skills, experience with remote field work, and numerical hydrological modeling or ecohydrological flux measurement experience.
