The workshop is organized by the IACS-IAPSO Joint Commission on Ice-Ocean Interactions (JCIOI) and will take place on Zoom 14-18th October 2024, and have have sessions staggered across multiple time zones. Key sessions will address four main themes below, but organizers welcome short presentations on any topic relating to ice sheet and glacier interactions with the ocean:
- New perspectives on melt parameterisations
- Ice-ocean interactions in the grounding zone
- New observational methods for ice-ocean interactions
- Impacts of meltwater on ocean circulation
