Nadezhda Filimonova

OrganizationEmailUnited StatesBioMrs Filimonova currently works at the Russian State Hydrometeorological University in St. Petersburg. In the past she has worked in Sweden at both universities and governmental agencies. She has been the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards, including most recently in 2016 the Fulbright Scholarship for Russian International Education Administrators. Her research addresses international cooperation and competition for access to resources in the Arctic with a focus on Russia’s presence in the High North. Filimonova holds two Masters Degrees: one in Political Science and International Studies from Uppsala University and the other in International Relations from St. Petersburg State University.
